Festivity and vibrancy were witnessed at GNIPS, I-Block, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana, as the festival of Teej was celebrated with great cultural and aesthetic gaiety. Tiny tots and juveniles were dressed in vibrant hues. The stage was decorated with traditional articles. A cultural fest was put forth, during which the students performed cultural events like Giddha and Bhangra on the beats of Punjabi music. The performances were appreciated by awarding the students with various titles such as Khushman Kaur of class XI(Medical) was crowned as “ Gidhiyan Di Rani”, Parneet Kaur of class IX and Manpreet Kaur of class X got “Tour Punjaban Di”, “Shaukan Mele Di” was Prabhnoor Kaur of class XI(Non-Medical) and Manreet Kaur of class XI(non-medical) was crowned by “Miss Teej”. Damanpreet Singh(class IX), a blooming singer of GNI was sashed with Punjabi Gabru. Tiny Tots also awarded with the titles such as “Baby Teej” won by Bisamleen Kaur of class 1st-A and “Miss Kaur” by Ekjot Kaur of Class UKG-Tulip.
Addressing the kids, Principal Mrs. Bhupinderjit Bedi talked about the significance of the Teej festival quoted “By participating in such traditional festivals we stay connected to our rich cultures, traditions and heritage.”
