Lohri is one of the famous Punjabi festival which marks the culmination of winters. It was celebrated in Guru Nanak International Public School, I-Block, BRS Nagar on Friday i.e.10th Jan 2020 to engage all in revelry and to make this day feel really great and joyful. A bonfire was set up in the school premises and all the little pre-schoolers gathered around it to celebrate the auspicious day. Kindergarten children came dressed beautifully in traditional Punjabi attires. A pooja ceremony was conducted to get the blessings of almighty by doing Parikarma and offering sweets, puffed rice and sesame to the holy fire flames, children sung popular folk songs in a joyous mood, exchanged greetings and thanked God for all the prosperity bestowed to them.
