13th July’2019- Keeping the spirit of student’s alive, GNIPS organized yoga session for students of classes of middle section took part in the session. The students were educated on the importance of yoga. They were explained that yoga helps in maintaining not only physical and mental health but also a healthy social life. The students were taught ample of Asana starting with warming up and stretching followed by series of Tadasana, Trikonasana, Vrikshasana, Nayasana, Ushtasana, Bhujangasan, Shashakasana and ending was with Padotanasana. After Asanas session, students were also taught Pranayam from Mrs. Sunita Sehgal, Retired Assistant Professor in English Department from Khalsa College for women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, currently associated with Bhartiya Yog Sansthan at Rajguru Nagar Ludhiana as Zone President and Mrs. Baljit Kaur incharge of Yog class at I- Block, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana. To terminate the session, The Principal appealed to the students to include yoga in their daily routine for its wholesome and salubrious effects on the mind, body and soul.
