Income tax department was celebrated on July 24 as the income tax day to mark the anniversary of the creation of the first authority to administer income tax in India in the year 1860.
To celebrate this day, Mr A.K Dhir, Joint Commissioner of Income tax Department, came to GNIPS, I-Block, BRS Nagar to interact with students in regard of Indian Administration Services. He lectured students about GST and values of income tax and why it is important to deposit it. He guided students about the preparation of Indian services Exams. He addressed an example of Mr Mukesh Ambani for paying higher tax for more development of the nation. He brought saplings naming “Apna-Kar Tree” to nail the event for its remembrance. And to motivate the students to create a harmonious environment. He also counselled the students to choose the right vocation for them. Students also took an oath for paying income tax, for being a good citizen and a good student. He concluded by reciting a motivating quote.
